Our commitment and related resources

We must collectively agree that systematic change is necessary across the board — a major shift in mentality, action, policy and accountability.

We want to make a positive impact wherever possible, and we plan to do so starting on a local level: contacting government officials, seeking out BIPOC-owned businesses, advocating for reallocation of police budgets and speaking up especially in times of great divide.

Neutrality does not enact change, and we recognize the need for action.

If you feel similarly and want to work toward making an impact that goes beyond social media, we’ll share a number of ways to do so below, namely: calling reps, amplifying voices of BIPOC, reading books to further educate ourselves (or begin for the first time in doing so), watching educational videos, sharing with others, teaching your kids, supporting enhanced public education programs and calling out those making racist comments in real life and online.

Let’s bring these topics to light. Life is too precious to remain inactive.

Let’s start by donating to: NAACP, ACLU, George Floyd Memorial Fund, National Bailout Fund, I Run with Maud (GoFundMe), Justice for Breonna Taylor, Brooklyn Community Bail Fund, PDX Protest Bail Fund (GoFundMe). Muting my content for the rest of the week in solidarity.

We will make it a priority going forward in amplifying BIPOC voices, businesses and brands, and recognize that it would have been greatly beneficial to have done so sooner.

Please feel free to share these resources with anyone who may benefit.
