Hello! I hope you’re having a really great start to your week. Over the last couple of months, I’ve been gradually integrating some of Ceremonia, Crown Affair, and JVN’s products into my routine: the Açai Style Refresher (via Cermonia) has become a staple non-wash-day product for reviving my waves each morning, and the Hair Oil Mist con Aloe Vera (also from Cermonia) has quickly turned into my all-time favorite mist: it’s so difficult to find an oil that doesn’t leave your strands feeling heavy or too shiny, and this one provides a gentle misting that absorbs into my hair quickly. I love the Effortless Waves Routine from JVN: the shampoo is nourishing and rinses out effortlessly, and the Air Dry Cream is the product that fully holds my hair together. For silky smooth, tangle-free hair in the shower, I’ve never used a better mask than the Hydrating Hair Mask from Crown Affair. Let’s get into my full routine:

For reference, here’s my regular wash and air-dry routine, and the products I’ve been using for a while now. I’ve been adding all of these products into my routine one at a time (to see how it affects my hair) in place of the products shown in the video above with similar if not better results! I’ve been using a filtered shower head for years, and recently upgraded to one from Jolie.

Here’s my current routine:

  1. Wash and condition with JVN Shampoo and Conditioner, rinse thoroughly

  2. Every few washes I’ll use The Cleansing Scrub from Crown Affair in place of traditional shampoo

  3. Once a week, I’ll use the Hydrating Mask from Crown Affair, leaving on for about five minutes and then rinsing out

  4. After washing/scrubbing/conditioning/rinsing, I add the Guava Leave-In Conditioner from the middle to ends of my hair while it’s still soaking wet. I’ll go light on leave-in conditioner on days that I use the mask. I scrunch my hair upwards, adding in a bit more if necessary

  5. Once my hair is a little more dry but still very damp, I’ll add the Pequi Curl Activator in by scrunching upward, then I’ll wrap my hair up in a hair towel for about 10 minutes max. (My waves lose definition the longer I leave them in a hair towel: I just like to make sure it’s not dripping water and product as I go about my day)

  6. Once I take my hair out, I use the damp microfiber towel to scrunch my hair upward: I have the Aquis towel and the Crown Affair towel and love them both! This removes excess moisture and helps define the waves. I scrunch in The Oil from Crown Affair and leave it alone for the next hour or two.

  7. Here and there I’ll fluff my hair around and add in some of the oil mist and run some Shine Drops through my hair over the next several hours, and after about 6 hours, my hair is fully dry!

  8. Other essentials include silk scrunchies, a silk pillowcase, and a silk eye mask for sleeping. You can find all of my favorites from Lunya and you’re welcome to use code SAMLANDRETH for 15% off :-)
