Spring Obsessions
What I’ve been into (& adding to my wishlist)
What I’ve been into (& adding to my wishlist)
I hope you all have been having a sweet start to spring! The last month or so has consisted of some desert tennis trips, incredible vintage shopping and thrifting in Palm Springs, a few more additions to the apartment, seasonal snack plates, and lots of sourdough baking. Here are some highlights:

Our room is coming along! Still waiting on our permanent night stands to arrive—I’ll share some photos when they get here.
Home
This art deco frame collection is too good: it includes some beautiful vintage-inspired mats that would pair well with old family photos. We sent a print off (to go in this frame) last week and just got it back:
So happy with how it turned out! For this one, we added with 2” to the top and bottom of the mat and 3” to the sides, and this is the off-white mat.
Home, cont.
I had this striped bath mat in my cart and was ready to go—then I stumbled upon the fabric-wrapped tray… we definitely do not have enough stripes around the house so I feel justified in considering both.
Clothing
I, much like everyone else, am in love with Chanel’s SS26 collection. As beautiful as it may be, there is a 0% chance you’ll ever find me spending $6,700 on a blazer. Instead, I found this one on eBay (right side, below) for $22. The same fabric and a similar pocket is close enough for me!

Clothing / Palm Springs
We spent a couple of weekends in a row out at Indian Wells last month to A. watch a match (got to see Alcaraz vs. Rinderknech) and B. play in a tennis tournament—both of which were an excellent time. I ended up with an afternoon to spare and made my way over to Market Market in Palm Springs: a true treasure trove. Everything I found was in pristine condition and felt reasonably priced for what you were getting! That’s where I found the shirt/dress and the button-down/blazer above. I also hit a few thrift shops around town and found some gems: Angel View was my favorite.
Skirt, jacket was my grandma’s
Clothing cont.
I’ve been pining after this skirt for years and was able to grab it on sale, which was a thrill: I ordered one size larger so I could wear it low-waisted and have it hit closer to my ankles. I’ve worn it three times in the last week, and found that I like to pair it with sportier things to make the prairie-ness of it feel more casual. An honorable mention: I recently worked with ThirdLove and in doing so, discovered the only bra I’ve ever wanted to wear. I usually don’t wear one because I find them irritating but have struggled with needing something when I’m wearing baggier clothes, t-shirts, or things that would otherwise look a bit frumpy without one. I truly forget it’s on—highly recommend!
i need new pants
My friend Jenna and I always talk about how we need new pants, and have been needing them for the last decade. No pair of pants is ever 100% correct: every time I’ve ever ordered a trouser, a slack, or any sort of cotton number, sizing is impossible—by the time I’ve returned them and tried to order a new size, they’re out of stock. I’ve finally resorted to ordering two sizes and returning what doesn’t work, and all of this to say, I did find a pair of pants that I really like! The elastic waistband gives you some wiggle room to work with, and I’d say their size guide is accurate. I’m 5”8 and went with a medium, and have them sitting a bit closer to my belly button vs. the low-waisted way they’re styled on the model.
More from Palm springs
Drinks at Seymour’s were fantastic, and so was the martini at the mini bar in the lobby of the Parker Palm Springs.
Reading
I flew through Heart the Lover in a matter of days, then discovered that Writers & Lovers was a prequel, though it’s not classified as a series (it takes place at a different point in the narrator’s life). I ended up reading Writers afterward, which wasn’t as enthralling: if you read Heart the Lover first, you go in knowing who the narrator ends up with. Still enjoyable, though, and I’m excited to read more of Lily King’s work!
Self Care
Admittedly, I’ve always been a bit of a vitamin hater—I’ve never felt like they made any real difference for me even after months of consistency. While I’ve written individual vitamins off, I figured I could attempt taking something specifically made for balancing hormones because mood swings and cramps are my biggest obstacle each month, health-wise. I’m a month into taking these supplements daily and I can honestly say that I feel like they’re helping: cramps have been more manageable and my mood has felt more stable.
Something else I’ve been surprised to enjoy: protein powder. Specifically this strawberry milk one, though. It’s perfectly reminiscent of my beloved strawberry Nesquik from childhood and is even better when you blend in a few fresh (or frozen) strawberries!
Fitness
For the most part, my tennis wardrobe consists of my old running clothes (mostly Nike dri-fit things from 2010 that remain in perfect condition), but whenever I’m looking for something new, I love sifting through Depop for colorful vintage Nike tops.
Fitness cont.
I’ve been liking these arch support socks for day-to-day wear around the house, and have these striped shorts on my wishlist for tennis.
Skin
Last month, after falling in love with Dieux’s cleanser, I decided to try their moisturizer and my sensitive skin loves it. It’s the perfect mid-weight: light enough to wear under makeup but heavy enough to pair with a retinol at night. This is the bronzer I’ve been waiting my whole life for: so subtle, glowy, and nearly undetectable. Paired with a couple bronzing drops the night before, and I look like I spent 6 hours at the beach, which is saying a lot, as a girl whose makeup shade has always been named “translucent” or “ultra-ultra-fair.” Also loving these micellar cleansing pads for travel: so much easier than packing a precious bottle of pure liquid micellar water.
Snacks
Spring snacks have consisted of market radishes with homemade butter, Persian cucumbers tossed with lots of flaky salt, this specific brie, prosciutto cotto, and Partanna olives. I’m also loving a chip tower with Torres chips! (Their pickle chips are the best.)
Snacks cont.
These cheeses from Godminster are delicious, and they also make a cute focal point on your serving platters :-)
Snacks cont.
The easiest recipe in the world may be the one for this sourdough crumpet. More of my recent favorites are over on this post!
Shoes
My friend Mollie sent me these incredible shoes: so comfy and quite different from anything else I own. The jelly flats are my go-to for bringing a little playfulness into an outfit, and are perfect for a really warm day when you want to wear a ballet flat but need some breathability.
